COLOR="#000000" FACE="Times New Roman">Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki Part 1 (Mook)
This includes a double-sided poster, lots of unique original art, a picture based film story and character list, the Gekiten Gallery of images, b/w animation sketches, several interviews, a detailed description of several Tenchi based materials in print (novels, Magius, and magazines), a 4-page comic, and a movie credits listing. 54 pages in color, 48 mono. It's all Japanese except a couple of headers.
Though this is a Tenchi Muyo! TV book, several pieces of information from the OVAs have crept in. This has several new original pieces of art, a snapshot form of the opening sequence, color character art of Sasami and Ayeka, a large amount of sketches of Jurain ships, the "Galaxy Police Technical Notebook" (organization, tons of ship sketches, uniform designs, and hardware sketches), sketches of Washu's lab and equipment, a TV universe timeline, the TV series general credits and episode specific credits, b/w versions of the ending sequences, Mihoshi's GP journal (a color picture based synopsis of the series), "The Sophisticated Ladies" (intervies, photos, and profiles of the seiyuu), and lots of little sketch images. 99.9% of the text is Japanese. 48 pages in color, 66 mono.
Though primarily a sourcebook for the second TV series (Shin Tenchi Muyo! or Tenchi in Tokyo), there are some very interesting things in here about the OVAs. Contained within is a two sided poster, lots of new original art in the "Shin" style, a character collection (information), a pictorial story guide broken down by episode, a short story, interviews, a 2-page comic, character designs, what appears to be a glossary, a detailed merchandise listing, and cast and crew listings. 48 pages in color, 48 mono.
This book contains information from both the first TV series and the OVAs. It has a section of character data that covers both the videos and a very brief bit on other sources (comics, games, and novels), a 4-page color comic by Okuda, a section on TV series information, what appears to be information on the "In Live Tour," a 7-page b/w comic, a couple of interviews, eight 4-panels, some sort of encyclopedia, and a Magius module. 48 pages in color, 72 mono. All the text is in Japanese.
The first section of this book is a collection of seiyuu interviews. These contain best 3 song picks, vocal song lists, simple profiles, karaoke one point lessons, and, of course, a short interview. The next section covers each of the actual OVA based albums. These include tracks listings, lyrics, staff interviews, one point lessons, and is interspersed with a lot of pictures and a wide variety of miscellaneous material. These are capped by five 5-best song selections, and the sound staff interviews. The drama stories from the CDs are then presented, followed by an episode-by-episode pictorial synopsis of the OVAs up to episode 10. The rest contains a pictorial character fashion review, color image boards from "Hello Baby," a variety of b/w sketches, a merchandise list, and the CD staff and cast lists. 64 pages in color, 32 mono.
Kiyone and Pretty Samy are clearly placed in this book that came out before the TV series!
